Hands up who wouldn’t look forward to receiving a box full of beauty products to try every month? These days there are almost too many beauty subscription boxes to choose from which just goes to show how popular they have become.
With an almost overwhelming choice of skincare and make-up, there’s something to be said for being sent products specifically chosen for your needs whether that’s a moisturiser for oily skin or an eyeshadow to compliment your green eyes.
And as there are so many beauty subscriptions boxes on the market, you’ve got a good chance of finding one to suit your needs and budget. There are a few well-known boxes I haven’t mentioned (Birchbox and Glossybox), and that’s because in my opinion there are better ones out there both in terms of value for money and quality of products.
I should say that whichver box you choose to try, it’s worth getting up to a six month subscription but no longer. Subscription box companies tend to have contracts with brands, so after a few months you might find you end up seeing the same products repeated in the boxes you receive.
So with further ado here are my top suggestions for beauty subscription boxes in the UK:
LOVE LULA – Best for natural and organic products

Love Lula is an online store that brings together all things organic and natural in the beauty world. The boxes are monthly, with the focus tending to be on skincare rather that cosmetics or nails.

COHORTED – Best for luxury
Cohorted focuses on luxury, high-end beauty brands such as Bobbi Brown, NARS and Bare Minerals. A really indulgent treat, costing £35 per month, but the value is often upwards of £100. As with Latest in Beauty they sometimes have special edition boxes which are more expensive (the current limited box is £60), but they are also well worth snapping up if you’re really looking to treat yourself!

LOOK INCREDIBLE – Best for full sized products
The idea behind this beauty box is that the products should last you all month. You can choose from the regular or deluxe editions which both come with five full size products.

With a wide range of products, this is a great choice if you like to know what you’re getting or if you don’t like the idea of getting products you won’t use.

This is a great monthly subscription box if you’re looking for an more general selection. Featuring well-known as well as more unusual brands, you’ll find a mix of hair, skincare, make-up and tools. Not all the products are ‘high-end’ but it’s good value for money nonetheless.

MINTD – Best for the ultimate beauty obsessives!
The is the ultimate in beauty boxes! The products centre around a theme (the picture above is the ‘Revive’ box). What’s interesting is Mintd regularly choose brands that are very well-known and respected in the beauty industry, but not necessarily that familiar to consumers. In my experience that’s often because the brands choose to spend more of their budget on product development than on marketing.
