Your back has a particularly high number of sebaceous glands per inch, more so than almost anywhere else on the body. Added to this, clothing often rubs against the back and causes an increase of dead skin cells. These dead skin cells end up ‘sitting’ in the pores and blocking them. How does this show itself? By making the back a particularly vulnerable area for acne and congested pores.
Our new treatment has been designed to combat back acne, blocked pores, blackheads, and general oiliness in an area that is sometimes hard to get to yourself.
A 60 minute experience your skin will be cleansed using hot mitts and then thoroughly exfoliated. Extractions can be done if required. Then allow yourself to relax and enjoy a wonderfully long and calming back, neck and shoulder massage. A masque will then be applied to draw out any impurities and you’ll be given a choice of additional massage (Indian head of foot massage) while the masque works it’s magic. A hydrating body lotion will be applied once the masque has been removed.
You’ll leave with clear, deeply-cleansed skin that feels smoother and will be less prone to breakouts during the summer months.
The products used during the treatment are part of the unisex SPA bath and body range from La Biosthetique. Active ingredients of milk and yoghurt calm and strengthen skin while a scent developed by star perfumier Geza Schön blends basil, lemon grass and pink pepper with vanilla and cedar notes.
